Add a Watermark to PDF

Stamp a text watermark such as “For visa application only” or “COPY” across a PDF so ID copies can’t be misused. Any language, Thai included. Free and private.

From Photos, Files or Google Drive

Files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. 1Choose a PDF, such as a copy of your passport, ID card or bank book.
  2. 2Type the watermark text, e.g. “For visa application only”, and adjust the font, size, color, opacity and angle.
  3. 3Add the watermark and download the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Why watermark a copy of my ID or passport?

It makes the copy hard to reuse for anything else. State the purpose, the recipient and the date, for example “For ABC Co. job application only, 3 Nov 2026”. In Thailand, writing this on every ID copy you hand over is standard advice.

Can I write the watermark in Thai or other languages?

Yes. Text is shaped with HarfBuzz, so Thai vowels and tone marks and other complex scripts display correctly. Choose from 10 fonts or upload your own.

Can the watermark be removed?

The watermark is drawn into the page content itself, which makes it much harder to remove than an annotation or comment layer.

Is my document uploaded?

No. The watermark is added in your browser and your ID copies never leave your device.
