Frequently asked questions

Can I fill in a PDF form that has no fillable fields?

Yes. Click on a blank line or box and type. Use the check mark or cross for tick boxes, and sign in the same editor.

Can I change or hide existing text, like an ID number?

Use the white-out tool to cover the old text with a white box, then type new text on top. You can choose to really remove the covered text: that page is then turned into an image, so the hidden text can’t be copied or searched. Pages without a white-out box aren’t converted. Always check the result before sharing it.

Does it work with Thai and other non-Latin scripts?

Yes. Text is shaped with HarfBuzz, the same engine browsers use, so Thai vowels and tone marks, and other complex scripts, land in the right place, and text copied out of the PDF stays correct. Many online editors get this wrong.

Can I use my own font?

Yes. Besides the 10 built-in fonts, you can load a .ttf font file from your computer.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Editing happens entirely in your browser and the file never leaves your device.
