Frequently asked questions

How many images can I use?

There’s no limit, but more frames and wider images mean a bigger GIF that takes longer to make. For chat apps and social media, 2–50 images at 480 px wide works well.

Why are the colors less vivid than my photos?

GIF can show at most 256 colors per frame, so smooth gradients like skies may show some banding. We pick the best palette for each frame separately to keep colors as accurate as possible.

Can I use images of different sizes?

Yes. The GIF takes the proportions of the first image. Other images are fitted inside the frame with white borders, or you can choose to fill the frame by cropping them.

Will there be a watermark?

No. The GIF is free, has no watermark, and is created in your browser, so your images are never uploaded.

My GIF doesn’t move after I send it. Why?

Some chat apps convert GIFs to still images when you send them as photos. Try sending it as a file instead, or post it somewhere that supports GIFs, such as Facebook, X or Discord.
