Resize Images

Resize images to an exact width and height in pixels or by percentage, with the aspect ratio locked so nothing gets stretched. Batch resize on phone or desktop, free.

From Photos, Files or Google Drive

Files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. 1Choose the images you want to resize. Select several to resize them all in one go.
  2. 2Enter a width and/or height in pixels, choose a percentage, or tap a preset such as 1080 px.
  3. 3Resize and download all your images.

Frequently asked questions

What size should images be for social media?

1080–2048 px on the long side is a good range. Platforms like Facebook compress oversized images anyway, so resizing to 1080 px yourself makes uploads faster and avoids heavy recompression.

What does locking the aspect ratio do?

It keeps images from being stretched or squashed. Enter just the width or the height and the other side is calculated for you. If you enter both, the image is scaled to fit inside that box.

Can I make an image bigger? Will it get sharper?

You can enlarge images, but they won’t get sharper because no new detail is created. To avoid accidentally enlarging small images, turn on the option that leaves smaller images at their original size.

How many pixels do I need for a file under 100KB?

File size also depends on how much detail the image has, so there’s no fixed answer. Use our “Resize image to KB” tool, which works it out automatically.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Resizing happens in your browser, on your phone or computer, and your images never leave your device.
