Frequently asked questions
Can I unlock a PDF without knowing the password?
No. This tool only removes a password you already know, for example from your own bank e-statements, credit card statements or payslips, so you don’t have to type it every time.
My PDF opens, but I can’t print or copy from it. What can I do?
That file only has usage restrictions. If you own it or have the owner’s permission, you can unlock it without entering a password. Please don’t use this to get around restrictions on other people’s copyrighted books or work.
Is my password sent to a server?
No. Unlocking happens entirely in your browser. Neither the file nor the password leaves your device.
